Sandra 'Brown Sugar' Lee
Is a graduate of Blinn College. Mrs. Lorraine Brown started the band March 17, 1975 with her daughter Sandra “Brown Sugar” Lee— The late Mrs. Lorraine Brown managed the band until August 26, 1990- a true milestone. The strong leadership of both Sandra and her mother Mrs. Lorraine led to many diverse venues across the country. Her musical mastery captivates every audience. The first touch of her fingers on the keys leaves a room spellbound. A true gift.

James 'Junior' Mosley

Jacques 'Stixx' Webster
Brown Sugar Band Jacques “Stixx” Webster is the powerhouse drummer for Brown Sugar Band. After an earlier stint with the band, he rejoined in 2015 and has been the driving force behind the band’s dynamic rhythm ever since. Known for his precision, energy, and infectious groove, Jack Stixx adds an unmistakable pulse to Brown Sugar Band’s sound, keeping audiences moving and the band’s beats strong.
Tasha Johnson-Lady T Lead Vocalist
Tasha Johnson Lead Vocalist – Brown Sugar Band Tasha Johnson is the powerhouse lead vocalist for Brown Sugar Band and has been a key part of the group’s signature sound for 29 years. Her soulful voice, dynamic stage presence, and passion for music have been instrumental in captivating audiences across Texas and beyond, making her an essential part of the band’s success and identity.
Fred Lockett - Lead Guitar
Fred Lockett is the lead guitarist for Brown Sugar Band, bringing his signature style and talent to the group. Fred first joined Brown Sugar Band at just 16 years old, showcasing his natural musical ability from an early age. After stepping away from the band for a period, he rejoined in 2017 and has been a vital part of the Brown Sugar Band family ever since, contributing to their unmistakable sound and electrifying performances.
Bruce Middleton - Alto Saxophone & Vocals
Bruce Middleton, a Texas A&M music major, is a renowned alto saxophonist, vocalist, and Las Vegas entertainer. Founding member of the Bruce Middleton Band, he co-starred in Thunder Soul. In 2025, he joined Brown Sugar, sharing 50+ years of musical experience.
Gloria Silva - Vocals, Keyboard & Percussion
Gloria Silva joined the Brown Sugar band in 1997, bringing her signature Latin soulful style to every performance. After a brief hiatus, she made a triumphant return in 2023, reigniting the energy and passion that have defined the Brown Sugar band experience. Her dynamic presence, vocal prowess, and rhythmic artistry continue to elevate the band’s sound and captivate audiences everywhere.
